Professor Eric Goffin studied medicine and specialised in internal medicine and nephrology at the Catholic University of Louvain, Brussels. He also worked for a year as an assistant in the Nephrology Department at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, University of Cambridge Medical School.
Currently, Eric Goffin is Head of Nephrology and is responsible for the outpatient dialysis unit (home HD, autodialysis and peritoneal dialysis) and co-responsible for the outpatient follow-up of kidney transplant patients.
Throughout his career, he has written and co-authored numerous scientific articles. He has also been a member of several scientific committees, including the Belgian Transplantation Society and the Nephrology Society (where he was Chairman of the Dialysis Commission).
Over the past ten years, Professor Goffin has also taken part, both as a speaker and as a moderator, in a large number of scientific conferences, presentations and congresses. His main areas of interest are clinical PD, clinical TP and home haemodialysis.
